Workaround isn't clear

From the home screen click "all apps"
Click the "Play Games" app
Swipe out from the left side of the screen showing a side bar
Click "Explore"
Click "play Store"
Swipe out from the left side of the screen again showing the side bar
Go down and click on "settings"
There you can change the "Auto-update apps" to "Do not auto-update apps"

After following the steps, the setting does not appear "Auto-update apps" to "Do not auto-update apps"

Then maybe Fer was correct and you need a newer version of bluestacks.
