At the moment you can visit the forums and see if there is new update or release for CF or visit the facebook page, as for the crashes thats happening mostly its because of the latest windows updates, but im pretty sure the next update will include an optimization for that,.

When the new CF Version is out and if CF needed testers they will post about it in the forums
